We have an immediate opening for a Fibre Jetter. The ideal candidates will have a great work ethic while working as part of a team installing underground telecommunications infrastructure in the Southern Ontario area.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Fibre Jetter to become an integral part of our operations team. At Cable72, we value motivation, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. As a technician, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team, delivering top-notch service and quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Running jetting machine to blow fibre optic cable in duct
- Fibre connections and termination required
- Read maps for jetting fibre
- Assist all crew members as needed and requested.
- Perform different construction tasks using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and related construction tools.
- Assist in transporting, loading, and unloading materials and tools.
- Communicate with co-workers for prep work and project coordination.
- Regularly perform health and safety inspections of equipment and tools
Requirements:
- Previous experience with micro fibre
- Valid class G driver’s license with clean abstract
- Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods.
- A problem solver and solution oriented
- An upbeat attitude with a positive approach to work, punctual and reliable
- A team player with the ability to work well with others and assist other field crew members when needed.
- Able to work extended hours as required and, in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ensure safety of the job site and maintaining equipment.
- Ability to make a Conscious Decision to be at work on time
- Book 7 knowledge an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
